September 1st Apple Media Event Thoughts & Predictions

  • iPod nano with touchscreen. iOS design cues but it doesn't run iOS. Camera. FM radio.
  • Oddly, enough these 'leaked cases' are interesting that they have both sides open but maybe they are just really shitty cases.
  • Apple added a video camera to the last generation Nano and Steve has always been explicit, especially when it comes to iPods, in saying that once something is added, it can't be taken away. However, none of these leaks lead you to believe there will be one, but I just believe they don't know anything. I'd bet it has one before I bet it doesn't.
  • Shuffle will still exist, in its current form. Higher capacity + Adjusted prices + New COLORS.
  • No iOS 4 for iPad tomorrow. A note about its availability in the late 2010, yes.
  • New iPod touch. Higher capacities. Retina. 3.2mp Camera on rear. VGA camera on front for FaceTime. Radio feature last gen Nano's had.
  • New Apple TV. Still called Apple TV. Works with the aluminum remote or a remote app for iPhone & iPad. Runs iOS but a new version, without touch API's. App Store will be available at launch, with limited partners such as Netflix, Pandora, Facebook, Flickr, and Twitter, some of which will give demos! Developers will have same day access to the new SDK and can submit their apps for an late October/early November release of the new Apple TV. No hard drive. Undisclosed on-board memory for OS and apps.
  • iLife '11.
